Decided that all this snow was right for taking some black and white photos. Sometimes I just prefer the old fashioned look.

- Retirement has finally come and I find myself living in a small property on New Mexico desert. I live with my husband and my pets that include 4 cats, 2 dogs, 3 horses, and 2 ponies. Most of our pets were in need of a good home when I took them in. I like to raise flowers, and houseplants, and I try to garden but it can be difficult here on this sand dune. I sometimes attempt to write fiction and nonfiction stories. I love to take photos and share them. I enjoy watching the sun rise in the morning and the moon rise in the evening, and love watching nature. I am an avid reader of fiction books with westerns and mysteries being my favorites.

I love to work with black and white photos. There's just something so pure about them with the different shadows and textures. Sometimes I think you get more out of a black and white without the distractions of too much color. Very pretty photos by the way.
