Tumbleweed Crossing

On Tuesday Mother Nature reminded me why I named our place the Tumbleweed Crossing. In about a half hour of time I watched tumbleweeds blowing in gale force winds. First there was a huge old, dryed out tumbleweed that blew from east to west. Then I saw a couple of that ones relitives tumbling along going from north to south. Just a few minutes later I saw what looked like the same two tumbleweeds hopping along back from the south and now headed north. And then I saw what looked like the same big one I had first seen going west now coming back and retreating into the east.
That gives you a good answer as to why Russian thistles were renamed tumbleweeds, and I call this place the Tumblweed Crossing.
