Rain

Albuquerque finally got some rain. Way to much in to short a time, as has been happening over many other areas. You may have seen a few of the problems on the Weather Channel as well as some of the large fires we have been having in New Mexico. Thankfully the rain helped with the fires and I haven't heard of any new ones from the lightning last night, as happens so much. As with other flooded areas, there where a couple of store buildings that couldn't withstand the downpour of so much water in a short period of time on their roofs and colasped. There where large rocks washed down on to city streets that, unseen under the water, damaged cars driving through. But no one was hurt and everyone just glad for rain.
Of course here at the Tumbleweed Crossing we didn't get anything but our usual high winds and sand. The rain seemed to be all around us over much of the state. But we where left high and dry. It is supposed to rain some more today and we can hope a bit of it falls here.
